About the Teaching and Learning Excellence website
The Teaching and Learning Excellence website is a collaborative meeting place for faculty, staff, graduate students, post-docs and other educators from across the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus to share ideas, challenges, and solutions, as well as find resources to help in their instructional mission. It is the virtual teaching and learning center at UW-Madison.
Anyone involved in instruction at UW-Madison is encouraged to use the site to the fullest degree:
- Find tips and suggestions on how to construct syllabi, how to better use course evaluations, and whether or not to post your lecture notes online.
- Join discussions about cheating and how to engage large classes.
- Post your own questions, comments, and events.
- Find or promote Teaching & Learning events, as well as links to other Teaching & Learning resources and centers on campus and beyond.

UW-Madison Teaching Academy
The Teaching Academy is composed of University of Wisconsin faculty members and instructional staff. We provide leadership to strengthen undergraduate, graduate, and outreach teaching and learning at UW Madison.
Office of the Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning
The Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning works with deans and directors, programs and units, and faculty, staff and students to lead UW–Madison's teaching and learning missions. In addition to chairing the Council of Associate Deans, the Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning also serves as the provost office point person for the Morgridge Center for Public Service, the Institute for Cross-College Biology Education, Technology-Enhanced Learning, the Student Awards Office, the University Honors Council, the Undergraduate General Education Committee, the Council of Academic Advisors, and the Center for First Year Experience.
DoIT - Academic Technology
A team of consultants, designers, programmers, graphic artists, and multimedia developers from DoIT Academic Technology provide a continuum of services--from getting started with your technology in your classroom to designing complex online courses.
Engineering Learning Center
The Engineering Learning Center (ELC) intends to serve faculty, staff, graduate students, undergraduate students, and administrators. It is designed to foster effective student-centered teaching and learning within the College of Engineering (COE).

The Institute for Biology Education develops and coordinates activities and programs for the university, for K-12 teachers and students and for the general public with the aim of promoting excellence in biology education at all levels.
