The 2010 UW- Teaching Academy Summer Institute will be held during May 24-27, 2010 at UW Aboretum. Its theme is Risk-Taking in Teaching. This event is open to all the faculty and graduate students of UW-Madison. Details will follow around the spring of 2010.

The 2009 Summer Institute under the theme of The Dynamic Classroom was succesfully held during June 1-4 at Arboretum. The institute was once again an overwhelming success with 29 participants from 15 departments across campus working on 20 different teaching projects. TASI participants gave it high ratings (e.g. a "great learning week and enormously helpful") and many left with new or revitalized courses. Most important, they left the institute eager to implement new ideas in the classroom and share ideas on teaching with colleagues.

On behalf of the UW-Teaching Academy and the organizng committee of this Summer Institute, we want to thank the Office of the Provost, DoIT Academic Technology, Department of Pharmacy and Writing Center for their financial and/or staff support during the whole week. We also want to thank the Deans of Letters and Science, CALS, Medicine and Public Health, School of Education, Pharmacy and Nursing for their support of the TASI participants' projects. DoIt also kindly helped to make some posters for Deans as a token of gratitude which are available here: http://engage.doit.wisc.edu/tasi/index.html
