Summer Institute 2009
THE DYNAMIC CLASSROOM
Program
This year’s program will center on teaching innovation, including technology, learning innovations, teaching styles, evaluation, and curriculum design. Each day will be built around an engaging topic in which teaching innovation will be modeled and hands-on participation encouraged. This format will allow the dynamic classroom to come alive for participants in ways they can evaluate possible applications to their classrooms. Rather than talk at you, we will engage the group in the teaching/learning innovations to facilitate on-going discussion and reflection on the pros and cons of each activity within the context of your experience. Small group sessions, occurring at least twice per day, will focus on projects that participants bring to the Institute along with plenty discretionary time.
