FFP's may be particularly interested in the topic of our November 20, 2008 meeting: "How do we provide graduate students with teaching experience and training?" The Teaching Academy's November meeting will be a discussion on the topic of how we can meet the teaching development needs of UW graduate students, from 4:00 - 5:30, 259 Educational Science. The topic of teaching preparation is especially relevant given recent research suggesting that a majority of recent Ph.D.'s feel unprepared for teaching when they enter the job market.  Teaching Academy events are open to all members of the campus community with an interest in teaching.
