Dishabituate, i.e., break out of an old pattern
- change textbooks
- change assignments
- change your mode of delivery, e.g., PowerPoint, overhead, whiteboard, online
Reform(at)
- review other syllabi (colleagues, online)
- record your thoughts in a teaching journal (post-class or post-semester)
- review course assessments and course goals
Let Go (of control)
- make use of guest lecturers
- include student presentations/group work
- include small group activities during class time
